My name is Janel McLain; I'm the Director of Dog Gone Rescue. I am the proud owner of 2 dogs... including one foster my family just couldn't let go :)
I am an avid animal advocate and helping animals is something I love to do. I strongly believe that one person can make a difference...which is what drove me to start my own rescue.
Dog Gone Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping reduce the number of unwanted, neglected, abused & abandoned animals in our area (Creston, IA) by finding them loving, permanent homes. We will provide these animals with shelter, food & medical services as needed, until they are adopted. We do our best to educate pet owners on the humane & proper care of animals, as well as the importance of getting their pet spayed or neutered to help control the pet population.
Dog Gone Rescue is a home based rescue. This means that we rely on the generosity of volunteers and fosters to care for our animals until a forever home is found. We are hoping to have a building in the near future so we can continue to grow and help more animals.
We would like to thank you for visiting our website and your interest in adopting a future companion! Please understand that I work a full time job and do have a family, so please be patient and I'll get back to you just as quickly as I can. :)
